Research
No aspect of material culture or intellectual culture may be recreated without hundreds of hours of research. This may include analyzing original artifacts found in museums or reading primary documents. Once the data is gathered, it must be analyzed and interpreted in the context of other information to provide as complete a picture as possible not only of the artifacts themselves but their use and meaning to the society of the time.
